Texas Statutory Service Fees

First signature of individual   $10.00

Each additional signature     $1.00

Administering an Oath or Affirmation   $10.00

Swearing a witness to a deposition     $10.00

Taking the deposition of witness, for each 100 words       $1.00

Protesting a bill or note    $4.00

Each additional notice of protest    $1.00

Certified Copy $10.00  

Uncertified copy of an entry from a notary’s record book, per page      $1.00


Section 603.008 of the Government Code requires a Notary Public to keep posted the fees that a notary is authorized by law to charge.

Monday – Friday

07:00 a.m. - 05:00 p.m.                  $30.00 + Statutory Service Fee, plus $1.00 per mile over a 15-mile radius

05:01 p.m. - 08:00 p.m.                  $40.00 + Statutory Service Fee, plus $1.00 per mile over a 15-mile radius

Saturday – Sunday

08:00 a.m. - 04:00 p.m.                  $35.00 + Statutory Service Fee, plus $1.00 per mile over a 15-mile radius

04:01 p.m. - 08:00 p.m.                  $45.00 + Statutory Service Fee, plus $1.00 per mile over a 15-mile radius

Examples - Fee Schedule: RON + Statutory Fees

• Notarizing one document with one signer - the charge will be $35 ($25 + $10 = $35);

• Notarizing one document with two signers - the charge will be $36 ($25 + $10 + $1 = $36);

• Notarizing one document with two signers, but there are separate notarial certificates for each signer - the charge will be $70
($25 + $10) for the first signer's notarization and ($25 + $10) for the second signer's notarization)
